About Mary Kathryn

Mary Kathryn Brown is an actress from the small town of Kannapolis, North Carolina. Growing up on a 66-acre farm just outside Charlotte, she was always drawn to the simple pleasures of storytelling and making people smile. After long days spent in AP classes, theatre became her creative outlet, and she has been pursuing it ever since.

Ever the scholar, Mary Kathryn is inspired by work that challenges her understanding of the rules. Whether discovering new ways to bend light, transform a familiar set piece, or create music from seemingly nothing, she is fascinated by the endless possibilities of theatrical storytelling. She strives to create work that invites curiosity, collaboration, and imagination, fostering spaces where artists and audiences alike feel encouraged to explore beyond what they thought possible.

When she is not performing, Mary Kathryn can usually be found crocheting her next scarf, reading the latest romantasy novel, or diving headfirst into a new hobby. Her current fixations include rock climbing and learning to make her own clothes. No matter where life takes her, she always finds her way back outdoors, staying connected to the southern roots that shaped her.
